TT is a global asset manager with 12 investment strategies and has offices in London, New York and Hong Kong

About

TT International

TT International (TT) was founded by Tim Tacchi in 1988 to manage assets for a highly regarded global macro strategy. Two years later the firm began managing long-only equities, using the same basic philosophy of combining top-down views with bottom-up company analysis.

TT has continued to harness this philosophy to build a suite of award-winning long-only and alternative products. TT’s clients include some of the world’s most sophisticated institutional investors.

In 2020 TT was acquired by Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, a leading Japanese bank. The acquisition is a reflection of the growth potential of the firm, providing TT with a stable capital base and scope for future growth.

Top-down/bottom-up integration

TT believes it has a specific skill in being able to understand the world’s ever-changing macroeconomic and geopolitical environment and then identify specific companies that should benefit.

Focus

Dedicated solely to asset management, TT deliberately limits its product range to areas where it believes it has a genuine competitive advantage and offers only authentically active, concentrated portfolios with 30-60 stocks and high active share.

Alignment of interests

Compensation of key staff is linked largely to the performance generated for clients and most of the investment team invest alongside investors in TT funds.

Capacity constrained

TT limits capacity in all its strategies, allowing the fund manager to remain nimble and maximise chances of delivering outperformance.
